Victory Scriptures

Victory

Here are some scriptures on victory:

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword. (Hebrews 4:12)

Jesus said that God’s Word is truth (John 17:17). He also stated that the words He spoke are spirit and life. (John 6:63). We know from the book of Jeremiah that God watches over His word to perform it. (Jeremiah 1:12)

In other words, when a believer speaks the Word of God out loud with confidence and trust in God (His Word), the believer will experience victory. It does not matter how grave or dim your circumstance or situation appears to be; if you hear, speak and act on the truth of God’s Word, you will get victory.

Jesus used the Word of God to defeat Satan in the wilderness. You can probably recall the story. After Jesus had fasted 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness (Matthew 4:2), the devil approached him. The answer Jesus gave to every one of Satan’s temptations was “It is written” (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10) Jesus effectively used the “sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesaisn 6:12); therefore Satan was defeated.

These scriptures from the Word of God will help you get victory. Here’s a simple approach to get started. First, identify the specific scriptures that are relevant to your situation – employment, healing, financial breakthrough, debt cancellation, etc. Write those scriptures down and memorize at least two key scriptures. During the day and as you rise or prepare to go to sleep, repeat those scriptures out loud. Continue to read the scriptures out loud on a daily basis to firmly establish your faith.

You may be wondering why it is necessary to read the scriptures out loud. The answer is clearly explained by Jesus in Matthew 17:20 when Jesus told His disciples to speak to the mountain; the mountain is symbolic of seemingly immovable circumstances or problems. The book of Hebrews states that the “worlds were framed by the word of God.” (Hebrews 11:3) A review of the story of creation in Genesis reveals that what God spoke came into existence: “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. ” (Genesis 1:3) The book of Proverbs teaches that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit therefof.” (Proverbs 18:21). Words have impact; therefore, speaking God’s Word consistently is critical.

Feel free to study the scriptures, print them out, study and begin utilizing them in your daily prayer time.
